Umami Arctic Char

Sweet and Savoury Pan-Fried Arctic Char with Bok Choy

  • Arctic Char Filet

  • Garlic, minced

  • Soy Sauce

  • Mirin

  • Sesame Oil

  • Maple Syrup

  • Avocado Oil


Mix the Minced Garlic, Soy Sauce, Mirin, and Sesame Oil in a small container. Add the defrosted Arctic Char to the Marinade and rest in the refrigerator for 4 hours to overnight. When ready to cook, pat the Arctic Char dry and add a small amount of Avocado Oil to a pan over medium heat. Add the Arctic Char to the pan and let a crust form before flipping and adding the remaining Marinade. Finish with a small splash of Maple Syrup and let the sauce reduce until the Arctic Char is fully cooked. Plate with desired vegetables and Enjoy!
